Old Lamb Inn
The Old Lamb Hotel dates back to 1487 and is one of the oldest buildings in Theale. It is constructed of old brick beneath a thatched roof, the rooms in the main Cottage takes one back in time with their beamed walls and ceilings. The large fireplace bears the Royal Coat of Arms of Henry VII.
In the past, the Inn had the patronage of many famous, including highwayman Dick Turpin.
Many times during the 18th century, Dick Turpin is said to have hidden in a secret room in The Old Lamb.
There is over 500 years of history and we have encountered many a spirit here. Very active
